The hit TV show, Mad Men, based on an advertisement firm in the late 60’s, uses unique logos based on the font Sterling Cooper. This show cooperates a lot of different older cool looking fonts. The show uses a lot of “computer based” fonts such as Helvetica, Gotham, and Bookman Old Style. While the fonts are a great touch, the show also has a lot of cool graphics, using black and white sketches and older magazine logos.

The past 6 weeks have gone by so fast!
Kara, our incredible intern, spent her summer at the Clever office and was a HUGE help to the entire team.
Kara’s youthful spirit and energy brought something special to the office every day she was here (ya always gotta smile!) Her hardworking attitude, confidence, and bright personality will certainly be missed.
Among her many summer projects at the studio, Kara was tasked with designing and creating a hard-cover book of selected works from her personal poetry collection. All we can says is ‘WOW! This girl is talented!!’ We are inspired by her strength and compassion, and know she is going places for sure. We can’t wait to see where Kara decides to attend college next fall.
A special thanks to the Step Up Women’s Network for organizing such an incredible program and pairing us up with the best intern ever!

Intelligentsia is our new favorite coffee shop on Abbot Kinney Blvd! Each cup of coffee is brewed fresh for individual customers by a (friendly) barista who takes you through the personalized experience. The interior space is hip, modern, and industrial - and blends with the local architecture + neighborhood. (A nice point of difference from its Morrocan sister store in hipster silverlake)
Clever recommends the ‘La Tortuga’ brew from Honduras.

Fell in love with the art + fashions of south congress st. in Austin, Texas last week.
Kept cool at the HOW Conference despite the 104F weather all week. More details on our run-in with lengendary designer David Carson and the guys from Hoops & Yoyo! Interesting workshops and great typography exhibit left us inspired!
